Letter from the Executive Director
Damon Brown Executive Director
A letter to the community
Keisha also realized that everyone battling cancer doesn’t have that same outpouring of support and wanted to change that. That’s why she created the Angel Wings Fund to make a difference for individuals and families dealing with cancer. Even as she struggled, she continued to encourage others. Keisha showed that no matter what cancer was doing on the inside of you, it doesn’t have to change what you do on the outside. And most of all, she wanted to ensure that it doesn’t change the dreams a family has for its children.
The Keisha Y. Brown Angel Wings Fund continues to carry Keisha’s legacy of compassion and love for others. Since our inception in 2007, Angel Wings has established endowed scholarships at Alma College, Central Michigan University, Sacred Heart Academy and the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation. Additionally, we have created the Holiday Hugs program through the Denise Terwilliger & Family Fund to provide gifts and meals to families impacted by cancer.
The success of the Keisha Y. Brown Angel Wings Fund would not be possible without the commitment of our board of directors and the generous support of our donors and community members. As the executive director of Angel Wings, I extend my sincere gratitude to all who have partnered with us in our mission.
If you’re new to Angel Wings, I invite you to learn more about our work and how you can help us to continue to make a difference in our community.
Let’s use our Angel Wings to help others soar!
Sincerely,
Damon Brown
